Corofin Ladies: Seniors played in the County Semi-final last Saturday in Tuam Stadium against Dunmore. It was a very wet and slippery evening for football and Corofin opened the scoring with a point from play by Tracey Leonard, Dunmore replied with another point from play, Roisin Leonard then converted a free, then Corofin found the back of the net after a great passage of play with Lisa Leonard getting herself on the scoresheet with a magnificent goal.

The crowd was entertained with some great skill and determination from both sides, and when the halftime whistle blew Corofin were leading 1-5 to 0-4. The second half was no different, with great intensity and determination from all corners of the field, Corofin were very happy when referee David Breslin blew for full-time and celebrated with a win of  1-12 to Dunmore 0-12. They have now earned their place in the County Final scheduled to be play on Sept 14th against Kilkerrin-Clonberne.
