Leitrim/Longford League Semi Final
Our U12 boys bowed out of the Leitrim-Longford league semi final after a titanic encounter away to Carrick Sarsfield’s on a score line of 4-8 to 3-6. The team, short of a number of regulars due to injury and holidays, displayed tremendous courage and tenacity to almost pull off a shock win against all the odds. TJ produced a cat like display in goals to keep us in the match while the two Macs, Cathal and Michael, repulsed wave after wave of attacks. Naoise produced his usual top class display. Sam held the middle and steadied the ship in the centre. Patrick making his full debut was excellent. The two Pauls gave a master class in midfield play. Gavin, Eoin and Liam proved a potent half forward threat throughout. Oisín and Brian were our twin pronged attack up front. Neil was on hand as our valuable back up. We bow out with our heads held high. Well done lads and we look forward to the upcoming championship. Squad: TJ Quinn, Michael McBrien ,Naoise McManus, Liam Reynolds, Cathal McCarty, Paul Moran , Sam Cullen, Neil Sweeney, Brian Sweeney, Eoin Connaughton, Gavin Darcy, Oisín McCarty, Paul Honeyman, Patrick Leonard.

The action packed games were followed by a tour of the Croke Park Museum. A great day was had by all with cherished memories of playing on the hallowed ground. Thanks to Connacht GAA for organising this wonderful initiative.
