LADIES:
Shannon Gaels Ladies football came to a thundering halt on Saturday last when our minor team were defeated by one measly point in the Div 2 semi final. The game was a thriller from beginning to end. It was tit for tat right up to the final whistle with some wonderful football. Everyone of the girls left everything on the field. Brillantly taken scores from out field where Jane Carty shone and excellent saves by our talented goalie Zoe O'Callaghan. Huge credit goes to management and coaches Alan Burke, Charlie Deveney and John O'Dowd assisted by John O'Callaghan. Thanks to the girls for a wonderful year and to the parents and supporters. Congratulations to James Egan on winning the combined monthly County draw.
