St Nathy's,Sligo 5k in memory of Ríoghnán & Donor Card Awareness
June 02, 2020
Ever year on the bank holiday weekend in June the St. Nathy’s Ladies club, Sligo take part in a 5k run, walk, crawl in memory of Ríoghnán Flanagan and to promote donor card awareness throughout the community and country.
Members of the club would usually head off to the lovely county of Cavan to the most welcoming town of Killeshandra. This year to the the covid crisis we have had to change it around.
On the 31st of May @ 11am everyone from the club and further afield were asked to complete a 5k in memory of Ríoghnán.
This year Ríoghnán would be 9 years old- so as a tribute to his 9th birthday the senior team ran 9k instead of 5k.
This event took off - and all 5 Connacht U16 squads took part in this Virtual 5km Race for in memory of Ríoghnán, along with the people of Tubbercurry and Sligo and further afield.
St. Nathys are supporting the CMRF Crumlin. All support to this wonderful charity are greatly appreciated.
