Dinner Dance
Oh what a night. So after a long wait due to Covid we finally got to go ahead with our Dinner Dance and medal presentation and worth the wait it certainly was with 300 guests in attendance for fine food, Ceol agus craic. Our chairman Diarmaid opened the proceeding on the night giving an impassioned review of the year and thanking all our club members for their hard work. There was presentations given to Dom and the management team thanking them for their dedication in bringing home the 21st championship. Next up we moved to Adrian Smith who called the players up to receive their medals which were presented by Dom. On the night there was also two very special awards presented, one each for Senior Mens and Ladies player of the year as voted by the players. There was a rapturous applause as Conor Harte called up Megan McHugh to receive her ladies player of the year award, another well deserved award to add to her growing collection. Next up it was the Mens player of the year award and there was huge applause as Oisin McCaffrey was presented with his award. It was great to be able to celebrate in style and we are sure everyone in attendance had a great time. Special thanks to Alan Prior for the video review of the season and all the committee members that helped organise the event.
