10 players from this years Senior Mens panel represented the club and county in the 40th All Ireland FBD 7s in St. Olaf's on Saturday last.
The team were drawn in Group 4 which plotted them against St. Lomans of Westmeath,  An Grehan/Maghlocha and Clonduff of Down. They team won their first game but were beaten in the clash for the top spot of the group by Clonduff.  The panel was: Eamonn O'Hara, Gerry McGowan, Adrian McIntyre, Colin Neary, Brian Egan, James Leonard, Brendan Egan,
John Quinn, Alan Dunne and Noel Gaughan. This competition marked the end of yet another successful senior football campaign, captained by Colin Neary, the team won the Kiernan Cup, the Shane Gilroy Cup- Calry
7s and the Division 1 league.

The Minor boys recorded an excellent win in the semi final of the minor A championship on Friday night last when they beat St. Johns to advance to the Minor A Final which will take place in October. The team travelled to St. Johns having lost to the same opposition last
month in the group stages of the championship. At half time it was level at 7points each, but the team came out in the second half and gave a blistering performance to win on a final score of 2-13 to 11 points. The team now face St. Marys in the final of the competition. This is a wonderful achievement for the team who competed in the B section last year. Well done to all involved.

The 150th Anniversary of Banada Abbey Convent will take place on Friday the 28th of September with mass in Banada Hall at 8pm. Mass will be followed with the history of the Sisters of Charity with presentations by Michael Collins, Tommie Marren and Danny Jones. This
will be followed by light refreshments. All are welcome and it is hoped that many past pupils will also attend this historic occasion.

Best of luck to all our young talent, at all levels, with their forthcoming football season with St. Attracta's Community School.
