All Ireland Scor in Derry - go n-eirà libh
Saturday is the big day in Derry for our Novelty Act and Brendan Brennan in Recitation as the attempt to bring further glory to the club in Scór. The last time we had two entries in the All Ireland Final was in 2002 when we were represented in the Novelty Act and Trath na gCeist and we won both of them. Our Novelty Act team of Michael Fanning, Ross Dooner, Paddy Prior, BrÃd Sullivan and Michelle Fanning will perform "Scór Raffle". Brendan Brennan will perform the "Seven Deadly Sins". A good crowd has booked their tickets for the final and the bus will leave the Square at 11.00am. We hope they will be back celebrating at 11.00pm. Best of luck also to Fenagh in the Rince Seit and Naomh Muire in the Rince Foirne.
Seniors draw in Dramatic finish.
Seamus Darby made a reappearance in the Park on Sunday in an Annaduff jersey! Anyone who remembers the 1982 All Ireland Final will know what we mean. With time up and O'Heslin's with a three point lead, Annaduff snatched an equalising goal with the second last kick of the game. There was just time for the kick-out. It was a game where we always looked likely to win. At half time we led by 1-6 to 0-3. A great goal finished by Seán Murray gave us a healthy margin. There was little wind in the first half but for the first 20 minutes of the second half the wind stroke up strong. Annaduff got five points without reply and missed several other chances and the score was 1-7 to 0-8. Wayne McKeon got a great point with time almost up. Then the goal came out of the blue and it ended 1-8 apiece. Maybe half a loaf will be better than no bread before the League is finished but it certainly was a point surrendered at the death.
