Senior League Campaign

Many of you would have been disappointed with the inclement weather which hit last week’s fixtures list hard and caused all matches to be postponed. Hopefully the match against Drumreilly can be rearranged soon and we will update you accordingly. In regards to this week’s fixture our seniors take on Drumkeerin in the park at 2pm this Saturday.

Leitrim Ladies Fashion show

Folks Leitrim Ladies have organised a wonderful night’s entertainment on the 27th of February to raise much needed funds for the team. They will be hosting a fashion show in the Landmark hotel at 8pm. Tickets are €10 and are available now from Pamela Keegan.

Division Three Fixture.

Seán Ó hEislin will hopefully be able to open their division three campaign away to Eslin this Saturday at 1615. We will update you later on arrangements for the postponed match against Glencar Manorhamilton that was called off due to weather last week.

Minor Match

Seán Ó hEislin minors will open their campaign away to Melvin Gaels this Sunday at 1200.

Leitrim Ladies

Congratulations to the Leitrim Ladies on another good win again Longford last weekend with a score of 2:12 to 0:7.
Hopefully the ladies led by our very own Sarah McLoughlin can again continue their good form against Offaly this Sunday at 14:00 in Tullamore.

Ballinamore Community School Connacht Junior B champions

Massive congratulations to all the players and couches of Ballinamore CS as they won the Connacht Junior B final in style beating Sacred Heart of Westport with a score of 5:17 to 6:3. This was a wonderful day that belonged to Ballinamore and helped banish thoughts of previous final defeats. The match was a great advertisement for ladies football with some scintillating and skilful play from both teams.

Following a proposal from Croke Park it has been agreed to run a national draw in support of Local GAA clubs with tickets available for €10. All proceeds from the sale of these tickets goes direct to the club and the draw will take place on the 17th of March. Female Fitness  

Female fitness classes are starting a new set of 6 weeks classes in the new hall beside the sports complex every Mon & Thurs at 8pm starting Mon the 17th of Feb for a full month while the musical & drama is on, we will be back in the community centre on Thurs the 20th of March!!
All other classes are still on as usual in the GAA gym Wed at 6.30pm & 7.30pm, Tues & Thurs at 11am. Carrigallen Mon at 6.30pm, Aughawillan Tues at 6.30pm, Swanlinbar Tues at 8pm, Newtowngore Thurs at 6.30pm, Fenagh Fri at 6.30pm & Eslin Fri at 8pm. Interested in improving your health

If you are interested in improving you health and fitness levels in a social environment come along to Ballinamore GAA gym on Thursday morning at 10am for a social fitness session for over 60's or at 11am for a beginners fitness session to learn how to become fit and healthy in 2014.  For booking contact 0879390980

Irish Comhrá classes

If you are interested in improving your Irish, conversation classes are taking part each Tuesday at 8.30pm in the library. There are separate groups for those who know very little Irish, those who have a fair amount and those who are fluent. Leaving Cert or transition year students will also find it useful. Admission is free
