Shannon Gaels News.

It was both a busy and successful weekend for the club. Our U12s competed in a blitz in Cootehall and played excellently topping their group with wins over Boyle and St Michaels. Team – Zoe O Callaghan, Chloe O Dowd, Mary Collins, Eimear Feely, Ailbhe Cryan, Orlaigh Mullaney, Seonna Devaney, Sophia O Dowd, Sarah Carty, Ellen Collins,Lisa Burke, Nessa Flynn, Caitlin Surlis, Moya Cassidy. The U12 championship will commence on Wednesday April 16th.


On Sunday afternoon our U16 ladies continued their winning streak with a victory over St Marys in Croghan.  Team – Lara Bruen, Hannah O Dowd, Sarah Surlis, Chloe Mc Cabe, Caoimhe O Dowd, Elaine Mc Dermott, Viola Boe, Christina Beirne, Emma O Beirne,  Rachel Mc Dermott ,Katie Daly,  Ruth Flynn , Aisling Cryan , Aine O Dowd , Aine Cooney, Aisling Bruen. Their next game is at home to Boyle on Sunday, April 13th.


Our intermediate ladies will play St Marys in the adult league this weekend.


Congratulations to Niamh O Beirne ,Sorcha Bruen and the Roscommon ladies on defeating Derry in the league. They have finished top of the league and will play Wicklow in the semi-final on Sunday, April 20th.
Best of luck to Aisling O Hart on opening her new physiotherapy and sports injury clinic in Carrick on Shannon beside Aura leisure centre. Aisling will have an open afternoon on this Wednesday, April 9th from 2pm to 6pm.
