Hard luck to Johanna & Noelle Connolly, Eilish Gannon and the Galway senior ladies who lost by the smallest of margins away to Cork last Friday.

Club secretary Mary Fahy made a presentation to Shane on behalf of the club. MC John Mullingan then asked Patricia Keady what was the secret she had been keeping all week, it was that our own Mary Fahy had been chosen Connacht club person of the year and they were going to Croke park on Tuesday 3rd of March to pick up the award, and fingers crossed she could be awarded the national club person of the year which will be picked on the day. Chairman Peter Clarke presented Mary with a Bouquet of flowers on behalf of the club and congratulated her on such a prestigeâs award.
P.R.O. Gail Clarke made a presentation to John Mulligan on behalf of the club, then it was over to our DJ for the night Noel Finnigan (Freebird) and we danced into the wee hours. Thanks to our guests Maura Conneally and Shane Walsh for all they done giving their time etc, to MC John Mulligan to DJ Noel Finnigan, to our photographer Alan Hunt who also took family photos, and Iâd say Shane wonât want to see a camera for a long time. Photos can be seen capturedmoments.ie.
Thanks to the management and staff of the Ard Ri Hotel for a great meal, to our underage girls Laoise Collins and Lauren Conneally who played a couple of reels on the concertina and accordion, to Aisling Ward and Aoife OâBrien who did a bit of Irish dancing during the interval .
