Four Roads News.
Our U-14 team had mixed fortunes during the week. We first traveled to Castlerea where the girls played some lovely football winning the match and therefore earning themselves a place in the quarter finals. On Sunday evening they traveled to Johnstown where they played Clan na nGael in the quarter final. It was a truly absorbing match, with great play from the goalie, the backs, mid field and the forwards, from player 1 to 21, showing determination and team work throughout the game. The girls were unlucky to lose but they are in a semi final and we wish them and the management every success in it.
Under 10/8 played Clan na nGael on Thursday evening last in Tisrara Sports Park. There were 20 girls playing and their skill levels have improved with every game - please see our facebook page for pictures. Congratulations to all the girls for taking part and to their management team - Naimh Cormican, Mairead McLoughlin, Eimear Fitmaurice and Laura Kelly.
The club would like to wish the U12 camoige team the best of luck in the final this week. Also the best of luck to Siobhan Coyle (captain) and Niamh Coyle, playing for Roscommon in the All Ireland final camoige final next weekend.
