Comhghairdeas
Well done to the Leitrim Hurlers who were in action on Saturday gaining an impressive win over Sligo IT by a score of 3:13 to 0:3, the Ballinamore Hurlers of Fergal, Paul, Joe, Kevin and Sean all contributed to this impressive win and hopefully this is the first of many wins, this bodes well for the club championship as well and hopefully the lads can repeat last year’s heroics.
Special mention also to Morgan Quinn who will be presented with his “Senior Club Hurler of the year award” on Saturday 30th January in the Bush Hotel. This is wonderful recognition for Morgan on his impressive displays during last year’s championship run.
Comhghairdeas
Special mention to Club and County stalwart Sean O’Suilleabhain who became an internet sensation on Sunday when he picked up the mic to complete the rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann during the All Ireland club semi- final. The story was picked up across Twitter, Facebook and Sportjoe.ie, where they all commended Sean on his excellent rendition. By all accounts this was not the first time and probably not the last time that Sean has been called upon to sing our national anthem. Míle Buíochas Sean !!
Get Well Soon
Everyone at the club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Alan McTigue of Allen Gaels GAA, who is recovering in Galway after his on field collapse during the Hasting Cup Match on Saturday. Alan is an excellent footballer and we hope to see him back in action very soon.

The Ciorcal is run in a very enjoyable manner and is attended by adults and also by some Leaving Cert students for whom the practice is good for their Irish orals. Those attending are divided into separate groups starting with people with very basic knowledge of Irish to those with a reasonable amount of the language and those who are more advanced.
The Ciorcal Comhrá starts Tuesday 12 January in Ballinamore Library at 8.00pm.
