ST. FARNANS LADIES

Well done to Marie Ruane, Aoibheann Cawley and Elaine Cawley who were members of the St. Farnan’s team which won the “Bowl” in the inaugural Tag Gaelic Festival which was held at the weekend.

Thanks to those who helped with the Annual Church gate collection held in conjunction with the GAA Club at Templeboy Church on Saturday and Sunday last and also to all who contributed. All proceeds from the collection and the one held in Dromore West the previous weekend go towards the promotion of underage boys and girls Gaelic football in the area.

As part of our ongoing fundraising we will be hosting a Flower Arranging Demonstration in Dromore West Community Centre on Thursday Dec 1st commencing at 8.30 pm. Martina Flynn of Sligo Flower and Garden Club will be on hand to demonstrate this particular art with the emphasis on floral decorations for use during the Christmas season. It promises to be a great social event and refreshments will be served. Admission is €10 and tickets are now on sale. Enquiries to Mary (086) 8123395 or Bernie (086) 7363965.

The “get fit” course for ladies which is being run by the club in conjunction with Sligo Sport and Recreation continues on Friday nights in Dromore West Community Centre. The tutor is Aoife Connor and new members are always welcome. Anyone interested in joining can contact club chairperson Bernie Mullarkey for details.
